This week hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be, we had a birthday weekend at center parcs – a close friend’s thirtieth which I would not have missed for the world! I was apprehensive as I wasn’t sure which days would be good and which days would be bad. I was fortunate that as it turned out my bad days were during the week, leaving the weekend in much better form. My sense of smell was still causing havoc, but snacking seemed to be helping a lot. Thankfully I was not the only pregnant person attending, that’s been a great help! Other than being completely exhausted this week has been a lot better than my last pregnancy, it feels like it’s getting better rather than getting worse. I’m told this is how it’s meant to be!
I bet this one is a boy, very different.
Top moment the week? – My booking in appointment with the midwife, I actually got my maternity notes and felt finally like I’d graduated to the next level. Up until this point it had still seemed not quite real, despite the sickness which clearly was real.
Stretch marks – No changes still.
Sleep – I am knackered, I don’t know what on earth is going on in there right now but I am exhausted! I’m napping all the time. Managing to wake up later in the mornings and go to bed as soon as Ariella is down in the evenings.
Maternity Clothes – I tried my jeans on but they feel a little too big for me for now.
Food Cravings – Not really, but I do feel I need to snack to keep the sickness at bay still.
What do you miss – I miss enjoying food, I know it will come back and with force but right now I could definitely go for a bit more of an appetite.
Movement – Nope!
Symptoms – Still being sick on my bad days, brushing my teeth is now making me gag and then be sick, lovely! Tired, bloated blah blah, how boring!
What are you looking forward to – Right now I’m looking forward to the end of the first trimester, which I’m sure will be coming sooner than I realise. I am also looking forward to Ariella’s starting nursery, next week she starts some settling in sessions which should help me a lot.
